ABSTRACT
Dietary high soybean oil (SO) levels might cause hepatic lipid deposition, induce oxidative stress and inflammatory response in aquatic animals, while octanoate (OCT) is beneficial to metabolism health mammals. However, the effect of OCT has been studied rarely animals. In this study, a 10-week feeding trial was conducted investigate supplemental on metabolism, serum biochemical indexes, antioxidant capacity large yellow croaker ( Larimichthys crocea ) fed with SO diet. The negative control diet contained 7% fish (FO), positive SO. other four experimental diets were supplemented 0.7, 2.1, 6.3 18.9 g/kg sodium based Results showed that supplementation effectively reduced crude lipid, triglyceride (TG), total cholesterol (TC) non-esterified free fatty acids contents, alleviated accumulation caused by Meanwhile, decreased TG, TC, alanine transaminase, aspartate transaminase low-density lipoprotein levels, increased high-density level, improved profiles injury. Furthermore, OCT, mRNA expression genes related lipogenesis acc1 , scd1 fas srebp1 dgat1 cebpα acid (FA) transport fabp3, fatp cd36 down-regulated, lipolysis atgl hsl lpl FA β-oxidation cpt1 mcad up-regulated. Besides that, dietary capacity, activities peroxidase, catalase superoxide dismutase content glutathione, 8-hydroxy-deoxyguanosine malondialdehyde relieved stress. Supplementation 0.7 2.1 down-regulated pro-inflammatory cytokines tnfα il1β ifnγ ), suppressed response. conclusion, 0.7-2.1 could reduce accumulation, relieve regulate providing new way alleviate fat deposition
