ABSTRACT
Progressive Supranuclear Palsy is an atypical parkinsonism based on tauopathic pathology. Growing interest associated with the pathomechanism of this disease. Among theories analyzing issue can be mentioned one highlighting significance inflammation. In study authors examined 14 patients PSP-Richardson syndrome (PSP-RS) and 13 healthy volunteers using laboratory testing analysis interleukins 1 6 (IL-1 IL-6), tau in cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) non-specific parameters peripheral inflammation serum (IL-1, IL-6, neutrophils, lymphocytes, monocytes, platelets ratios factors). All underwent neuroimaging magnetic resonance imaging 3 Tesla. The levels IL-1 were positively correlated area mesencephalon, suggesting that higher are not linked atrophic changes region, whereas IL-6 was frontal horn width negatively superior cerebellar area. Additionally found to neutrophil-to-high density lipoprotein ratio. observations confirmed CSF. To best our knowledge work first issue. outcome shows role microglial activation may possibly differ context neurodegenerative changes, moreover PSP requires further analysis.
