ABSTRACT
The subtilase family (S8), a member of the clan SB serine proteases are ubiquitous in all kingdoms life and fulfil different physiological functions. Subtilases divided several groups especially subtilisins interest as they used various industrial sectors. Therefore, we searched for new subtilisin sequences Bacillaceae using data mining approach. obtained 1,400 were phylogenetically classified context family. This required an updated comprehensive overview within this To fill gap, conducted phylogenetic survey S8 with characterised holotypes derived from MEROPS database. analysis revealed presence eight previously uncharacterised 13 subgroups that emerged set filter parameters mainly assigned to true subtilisins, high-alkaline intermediate represent excellent source candidates.
