ABSTRACT
Increasing evidence supports a role for the vaginal microbiome (VM) in severity of HPV infection and its potential link to cervical intraepithelial neoplasia. However, lot remains unclear regarding precise certain bacteria context positivity persistence infection. Here, using next generation sequencing (NGS), we comprehensively profiled VM series 877 women who tested positive at least one high risk (hrHPV) type with COBAS® 4,800 assay, after self-collection cervico-vaginal sample. Starting from gDNA, PCR amplified V3-V4 region bacterial 16S rRNA gene applied paired-end NGS protocol (Illumina). We report significant differences abundance compared among different HPV-types, more particularly concerning species assigned Lacticaseibacillus, Megasphaera Sneathia genera. Especially observed depletion case HPV16, HPV18 versus hrHPVother. Overall, our results suggest that presence or absence specific cervicovaginal microbial genera may be linked hrHPV infection, 18 types.
