ABSTRACT
Recent studies have expanded the genomic contours of Acidithiobacillia , highlighting important lacunae in our comprehension phylogenetic space occupied by certain lineages class. One such lineage is ‘ Igneacidithiobacillus’ a novel genus-level taxon, represented Igneacidithiobacillus copahuensis’ VAN18-1 T as its type species, along with two other uncultivated metagenome-assembled genomes (MAGs) originating from geothermally active sites across Pacific Ring Fire. In this study, we investigate genetic and diversity, distribution patterns several uncharacterized class strains sequence clones, which are ascribed to same 16S rRNA gene clade. By digging deeper into data contributing MAGs emerging environmental tectonically locations, description genus has been consolidated. Using state-of-the-art taxonomy methods, added already recognized taxa, an additional four Candidate ( Ca. ) including chanchocoensis’ (mCHCt20-1 TS ), siniensis’ (S30A2 taupoensis’ (TVZ-G3 waiarikiensis’ (TVZ-G4 ). Analysis published on isolation, enrichment, cultivation, preliminary microbiological characterization these unassigned or misassigned strains, species genus, plus recoverable metagenomic studies, allowed us identify habitat preferences taxa. Commonalities lineage-specific adaptations seven were derived pangenome analysis comparative metabolic reconstruction. The findings study lay groundwork for further research ecology, evolution, biotechnological potential ’.
