ABSTRACT
Streptococcus suis serotype 2 (SS2) is a Gram-positive bacterium. It common and significant pathogen in pigs cause of zoonotic meningitis humans. can lead to sepsis, endocarditis, arthritis, pneumonia. If not diagnosed treated promptly, it has high mortality rate. The pan-genome SS2 open, with an increasing number genes, the core genome accessory may exhibit more pronounced differences. Due diversity SS2, genes related its virulence resistance are still unclear. In this study, strain was isolated from pig farm Sichuan Province, China, subjected whole-genome sequencing characterization. Subsequently, we conducted Pan-Genome-Wide Association Study (Pan-GWAS) on 230 strains SS2. Our analysis indicates that composed 1,458 basic life processes genome, consisting 4,337 highly variable major contributor genetic Furthermore, identified important through pan-GWAS. mainly associated bacterial adhesion. addition, confer natural fluoroquinolone glycopeptide antibiotics. This study lays foundation for further research providing potential new drug vaccine targets against
