ABSTRACT
Trans-radial access (TRA) for MMA embolization has grown due to lower site complications and greater patient satisfaction. Here, we describe the feasibility of utilizing a 6F Envoy Simmons 2 (6F-SIM2) as guide catheter with TRA compare outcomes trans-femoral approach (TFA) in single center case series. We performed retrospective review patients who underwent management chronic subdural hematoma (cSDH). was by combination 90cm (Codman & Shurtleff, Inc., Rayham, MA) 5F 125cm Sofia (Microvention, Aliso Viejo, CA) intermediate catheter. Outcomes measured are Modified Rankin Score (mRS) at 90 days, inpatient mortality, post-embolization recurrence, fluoroscopy time radiation exposure.A total 71 97 overall 65 (67%) group, 11 (11.3%) trans-radial without use Guide group 21 (21.6%) group. There were no direct access-related either One had thromboembolic stroke difference average procedure-related fluro or dose among all three groups.Trans-radial using 6F-SIM2 coupled is safe effective. It provides an alternative distal branches bilateral anterior circulation elderly difficult anatomy undergoing embolization.
