Negative Impacts of COVID-19 Induced Lockdown on Changes in Eating Behavior, Physical Activity, and Mental Health as Modified by Digital Healthy Diet Literacy and eHealth Literacy

ABSTRACT
Background: The COVID-19-induced lockdown has been implemented in many countries, which may cause unfavorable changes lifestyles and psychological health. People's health literacy, healthy diet, play important roles mitigating the negative impacts of pandemic. Therefore, we aimed to examine associations COVID-19 with eating behavior, physical activity, mental health; modification effects by digital diet literacy (DDL) eHealth (eHEALS) on associations. Methods: We conducted an observational study 4,348 outpatients from 7th April 31st May 2020. Data 11 hospitals Vietnam included demographic characteristics, DDL, eHEALS, changes. Multiple logistic regression interaction models were performed Results: Patients under had a lower likelihood having "unchanged or healthier" behavior (odds ratio, OR, 0.38; 95% confidence interval, 95%CI, 0.29 0.51; p < 0.001), more" activity (OR, 0.79; CI, 0.69 0.90; "stable better" 0.77; 0.67 0.89; as compared those after lockdown. In models, patients lowest DDL score, one-score increment higher 1.05; 1.02 1.07; 1.02; 1.01 1.04; 0.001). Similarly, eHEALS 1.03; Conclusion: measure could negatively affect among outpatients.
