ABSTRACT
Metabolic syndrome has been linked to an increased risk of colorectal cancer (CRC) incidence and mortality, but whether adopting a healthy lifestyle could attenuate the CRC conferred by metabolic remains unclear. The aim study is investigate individual joint effects modifiable health status on mortality in UK population. This prospective included 328,236 individuals from Biobank. An overall was assessed at baseline categorized based presence or absence syndrome. We estimated association score (derived 4 behaviors: smoking, alcohol consumption, diet, physical activity into "favorable," "intermediate", "unfavorable") with stratified status.During median follow-up 12.5 years, 3,852 incidences 1,076 deaths were newly identified. incident its number abnormal factors decreased (P trend = 0.000). MetS associated greater (HR 1.24, 95% CI: 1.16 - 1.33) 1.08 1.41) when compared those without MetS. unfavorable 1.25, 1.15 1.36) 1.36, 1.59) across all status. Participants had higher 1.56, 1.38 1.76) 1.75, 1.40 2.20) than favorable MetS.This indicated that adherence substantially reduce burden regardless Behavioral changes should be encouraged for prevention even participants
