ABSTRACT
Objectives: To determine the efficacy of serum N-terminal pro-B-type natriuretic peptide (NT-proBNP) levels in predicting critical pulmonary stenosis (CPS) neonates. Methods: All neonates with (PS) admitted to neonatal intensive care unit Xinhua Hospital from October 2014 December 2020 were retrospectively reviewed. Infants NT-proBNP measured within 48 h after birth enrolled and divided into CPS non-CPS groups. Serum cardiac Doppler indices compared between two Correlations determined using Spearman's rank correlation coefficient. Receiver operator characteristic curve analysis was used explore predictive value for identifying CPS. Results: Among 96 infants diagnosed PS by echocardiography, 46 (21 25 groups, respectively). significantly higher group than [3,600 (2,040-8,251) vs. 1,280 (953-2,386) pg/ml, P = 0.003]. suggested a positive Ln(NT-proBNP) transvalvular gradient (r 0.311, 0.038), as well artery velocity 0.308, 0.040). operating showed that cutoff level 2,395 pg/ml yielded 66.7 78.9% sensitivity specificity CPS, respectively. The area under 0.784 (95% CI, 0.637-0.931). A found length hospital stay 0.312, < 0.05). Conclusion: positively correlated severity could be biomarker identify
