ABSTRACT
The COVID-19 disease usually leads to mild infectious in children, but some develop serious complications. Here, we describe the characteristics of children with northern Iran, Golestan province. Ninety-one confirmed cases were enrolled study, aged 0-18 years. Demographic, clinical, comorbidity, laboratory, and radiological data compared based on severity (admitted intensive care unit (ICU) or not) outcome (recovered deceased). Sixteen (17.5%) hospitalized ICU, 8/91 (8.8%) deceased. Fever cough most common clinical symptoms. Among all symptoms notified there no significant differences between severe milder cases, those who deceased recovered. Failure thrive (FTT), malignant neurological significantly more prevalent as was frequently reported comorbidities. Laterality, ground-glass opacity, lung consolidation findings chest computed tomography. confirms that has various presentations may help predict development forms among children.
