ABSTRACT
Background: The COVID-19 pandemic poses an imminent threat to humanity, especially for those who have comorbidities. Evidence of and COPD comorbidities is accumulating. However, data revealing the molecular mechanism comorbid diseases limited. Methods: We got COVID-19/COPD -related genes from different databases by restricted screening conditions (top500), respectively, then supplemented with COVID-19/COPD-associated (FDR<0.05, |LogFC|≥1) clinical sample sets. By taking intersection, 42 co-morbid host factors were finally obtained. On basis shared factors, we conducted a series bioinformatics analysis, including protein-protein interaction gene ontology pathway enrichment transcription factor-gene network gene-microRNA co-regulatory tissue-specific analysis candidate drug prediction. Results: revealed comorbidity perspective factor interaction, obtained top ten 3 modules biological functions. Furthermore, signaling pathways concluded that dexamethasone, estradiol, progesterone, nitric oxide shows effective interventions. Conclusion: This study networks COPD, which could confirm potential drugs treating comorbidity, ultimately, enhancing management respiratory disease.
