ABSTRACT
Photothermal therapy (PTT) has become effective method for the treatment of malignant cancer. The development PTT system with high anti-tumour effect is still feasible research direction. Here, a new type gold nanorods (AuNRs)-doxorubicin (DOX)/mPEG 10K -peptide/P(AAm-co-AN) (APP-DOX) nano drug delivery was proposed. Among them, AuNRs used as high-efficiency photothermal agent. APP-DOX had suitable size and can be targeted to accumulate in tumour tissues through circulation body. abundant matrix metalloproteinase 2 (MMP-2) environment intercepted cut off short peptide chain structure grafted on APP-DOX. At same time, removal PEG segment leaded an increase hydrophobic properties system. Nanoparticles aggregated into large particles, causing them stay aggregate further at site. When irradiated by 808 nm near-infrared laser, achieved gradual heating process. High temperature effectively ablate tumours enable UCST polymer achieve phase transition, resulting more anti-cancer drugs loaded layer DOX released, killing cancer cells. Animal experiments verified possibility drug-carrying good effect. What’s worth mentioning that compared free DOX, lower biological toxicity not cause obvious harmful effects normal organs tissues.
