ABSTRACT
Background: Therapeutic drug monitoring (TDM) and pharmacogenetic (PGx) testing are widely used as approaches to improve individualized (personalized) pharmacotherapy. Little is known about TDM PGx services in China. This study aimed describe the northern China, lay foundation for improving these services. Methods: We developed an electronic survey using online software disseminated it 32 public hospitals China from May July 2019. The data were analyzed Statistical Package Social Sciences (SPSS) program (Ver.27.0). Results: collected 29 of questionnaires (90.6% response rate) seven provinces Twenty-two (76%) utilized TDM; immune suppressants, antiepileptic drugs anti-infective main monitored. that did not provide service traditional Chinese medicine with a smaller number hospital beds. Seventeen (58.6%) had programs. offer beds fewer daily outpatients. Conclusion: available vast majority although mainly tertiary hospitals. testing, newer approach, less available. recommend more be encouraged efforts directed toward quality control, delivery results counseling patients based on those results.
