ABSTRACT
Objective: Emerging evidences demonstrated that chronic inflammation can influence bone metabolism in type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM), leading to homeostasis imbalance. The aim of this study was assess the correlations between novel pro-inflammatory indexes like monocyte high-density lipoprotein (MHR), apolipoprotein A1 (MAR) ratios and mineral density (BMD), turnover markers Chinese postmenopausal women with T2DM. Method: In study, a total 619 participants complete data were included final analysis. Demographic anthropometric information collected. Biochemical parameters determined by standard methods. BMD measured dual-energy x-ray absorptiometry. Correlation analysis regression models conducted associations MHR, MAR markers, BMD. Multiple binomial logistic model used estimate independent variables MHR for osteoporosis. Results: Overall, prevalence osteoporosis 38.3%. significantly correlated C-terminal cross linking I collagen (β-CTX), L1-L4, femoral neck T scores. These remained significant after adjustment other confounding factors. Meanwhile, also associated higher odds osteoporosis, (ORs) (95%CI) 1.88 (1.49-2.38) 2.30 (1.72-3.09) respectively. Furthermore, seemed have good identifying value area under curve 0.791 (95% CI: 0.753-0.828) 0.843 0.809-0.877) respectively (p < 0.001). optimal cut-off values 4.53 × 108/mmol (sensitivity: 60.8%, specificity: 85.9%) 4.74 108/g 71.7%, 89.3%) Conclusion: two may be ideal reflect imbalance caused
