ABSTRACT
Background: The HLA-B is the most polymorphic gene, play a crucial role in drug-induced hypersensitivity reactions. There lot of evidence associating several risk alleles to life-threatening adverse drug reactions, and few them have been approved as valid biomarkers for predicting Objectives: objective this present study progression pharmacogenomics (PGx) testing Thai population during 10-year period, from 2011 2020. Methods: This was retrospective observational cohort conducted at Faculty Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital. Overall, 13,985 eligible patients who were tested between periods 2011-2020 site included study. Results: HLA PGx has increasing year by tremendously, 94 done 2011; raised 2,880 Carbamazepine (n = 4,069, 33%), allopurinol 4,675, 38%), abacavir 3,246, 26%) common drugs which genotyping performed. HLA-B*13:01, HLA-B*15:02 HLA-B*58:01 are highly frequent, HLA-B*51:01 HLA-B*57:01 moderately frequent that being associated with induced hypersensitivity. HLA-B*59:01 HLA-B*38:01 theses rare but reported toxicity. Most samples state hospital (50%), 36% private clinical laboratories 14% hospitals. Conclusion: According study, substantially Thailand after year. advancement research field, increased physician awareness PGx, government insurance scheme reimbursement assistance could all be factors. Incorporating data, along other non-clinical into decision support systems (CDS) national formularies, on hand, would assist prescribers prioritizing therapy their patients. will also aid prediction prevention serious
