ABSTRACT
Low temperature plasmas that can be generated at atmospheric pressure and temperatures below 40 oC have in the past couple of decades opened up a new frontier plasma applications: biomedical applications. These sources produce agents, such as reactive species (radicals non-radicals), charged particles, photons, electric fields, which impactful biological effects. Investigators been busy elucidating physical biochemical mechanisms whereby low affects cells on macroscopic microscopic scales. A thorough understanding these is bound to lead development novel plasma-based medical therapies. This mini review introduces reader this exciting multidisciplinary field research.
