ABSTRACT
In this study, we developed a new method for designing progressive addition-multifocus defocused freeform lenses. We used two independent meridians and achieved smooth gradient transition of additional optical power from the center to peripheral area lens, along with an asymmetric distribution on nasal-temporal side lens. To improve performance lenses, three different designs based meridians. conducted simulations processing designs. The lenses designed using improved logistic regression sine functions meridian exhibited stable in central focus area. They also met design requirements power. However, significant distortion was still observed region, which required further optimization. Lenses piecewise linear relatively poor optimization potential. Thus, combining surface-type factors is necessary. proposed enabled defocus-free curved mirror that satisfy requirements. provides approach addition
