ABSTRACT
Calcium-Dependent Protein Kinases (CDPKs) involved in regulating downstream components of calcium signaling pathways play a role tolerance to abiotic stresses and seed development plants. However, functions only few cotton CDPKs have been clarified at present. In this study, 80 conserved Gossypium hirsutum L. were identified characterized, which was divided into four subgroups. Among them, the transcript level GhCDPK60 significantly upregulated under drought several hormone treatments. And we found that expression levels stress-inducible genes down-regulated -silence up-regulated -overexpressing Arabidopsis . addition, physiological analyses demonstrated improved stress by improving osmotic adjustment ability reducing accumulation reactive oxygen species (ROS) These findings broaden our understanding biological roles mechanisms underlying cotton.
