ABSTRACT
Physical activity (PA) is an important behavioral factor associated with the quality of life and healthy longevity. We hypothesize that extremely low high levels daily PA (including occupational PA) may have a negative impact on sleep psychological well-being.The aim study to investigate association between level type problems in adult population.The sample consisted participants from population-based cohort The Epidemiology Cardiovascular Risk Factors Diseases Regions Russian Federation Study (ESSE-RF). data three regions (Saint Petersburg, Samara, Orenburg), varying geographic, climatic, socioeconomic characteristics, was included into analysis. total 4,800 (1,600 each region; 1,926 males, 2,874 females), aged 25-64. evaluated using parameters: at work, frequency intensive/high including sport (times week), mean duration leisure-time walking (minutes day). measures were difficulty falling asleep, maintaining sleep, daytime sleepiness, medication use. characteristics assessed by interview carried trained medical staff.When controlling for gender, age status (SES) significant risk asleep or more times week [OR(CI95%) = 1.9(1.2-3.0), p 0.003] while working sitting position having moderate physical load work not characteristics.
