ABSTRACT
Introduction Few studies have simultaneously focused on the effects of marital conflict and intimacy adolescent development, little is known about role sibling relationships. Thus, this study examined association between relationships behavioral problems, including depressive symptoms aggressive behavior. At same time, we explored mediating hostility affection moderating effect birth order in multichild families China. Methods Participants included 842 adolescents ( M age = 12.60, 46.2% boys) from Henan Province. Marital relationship, order, behavior were assessed by a self-administered questionnaire. SEM was then used to examine relationship problems. Results Our results showed that negatively correlated with behavior, while positively them. associated through both affection. indirectly hostility. In addition, first-born more sensitive intimacy. Discussion Given occurrence problems common contemporary society, our findings suggest establishing intimate warmer family atmosphere promoting positive interactions siblings may help control mental health
