ABSTRACT
The considerable influence that family members can have on diabetes management is well recognized. Therefore, it crucial for professionals to acknowledge the impact of diagnosis members. This study aimed comprehensively identify and understand needs with an adult diagnosed using a two-phased research design. Phase 1 was scoping literature review databases such as MEDLINE®, CINAHL®, SciELO, PsycINFO, gray from Scientific Open Access Repository Portugal OpenGrey, focusing studies 2017 2023, adhering Joanna Briggs Institute PRISMA guidelines. 2 involved focus group gather qualitative data experiences, which analyzed content analysis following Consolidated Criteria Reporting Qualitative Research. Communication emotional expression within families, family, diabetes-specific knowledge, socio-cultural environmental influences management, communication healthcare providers. Integrating these findings highlighted specific suggesting tailored interventions should be developed enhance support promote overall well-being.
