ABSTRACT
Introduction In the world, 33% of soils are degraded, and 2.9 million people affected by land degradation, with problems associated food security, conflicts over natural resources, migration different impacts on men or women. To support sustainable soil management, it is necessary to include women’s contributions Sciences; their achievements academic performance still need be represented. Women in Science represent 30% worldwide. Mexico, only 24% top positions For commitment Sciences for Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), UNAM created University Program Interdisciplinary Soil Studies (PUEIS). Methods This research evaluates representation through gender indicators PUEIS SNI datasets discusses implications gap community from Mexico. The data was collected an online semi-structured survey selected were related participation, gap, sexism, equal opportunities, exclusion, performance. Results results show that PUEIS, 54% members identify themselves as women 46% men. shows equality total number members.
