Surgical Correction of Kyphosis in Patients With Camptocormia Associated With Parkinson’s Disease: A Case Report and Review of the Literature

ABSTRACT
Camptocormia is a postural deformity that characterized by markedly flexed lumbar spine, with symptoms worsen walking and standing. Here, we report case of camptocormia associated Parkinson's disease.A 70-year-old man 7-year history disease presented fall injury caused lower back pain for 3 months was aggravated 2 months. He had been diagnosed compression fracture after the undergone percutaneous kyphoplasty at local hospital. MRI showed non-union L1 vertebra L2. The patient underwent posterior osteotomy, canal decompression, internal fixation T10-L3 intervertebral plate bone graft fusion. Postoperative examination lordosis corrected sensation restored in both extremities. However, 1 month, loosened correction surgery performed our At most recent follow-up 1.5 years, found to be good general health did not complain discomfort. also actively exercising according rehabilitation regimen resumed social life.This rare highlights need careful evaluation whether spinal beneficial such patients.
