ABSTRACT
Gentamicin-specific non-targeted induction of hepato- and nephrotoxicity is a clinical challenge in human veterinary medicine. This study investigates the nephroprotective effect Moringa oleifera leaves extract on Gentamicin-induced hepatic rats. C- group showed negative control had no treatment. C+ received 80 mg/kg/day/i.p gentamicin (GM) for 8 days exhibited positive . T1, T2, T3 groups were treated with (MO) leave orally 14 at doses 150, 300, 600 mg/kg respectively after GM After 21 MO treatment, all rats liver kidneys excisions. The assessment was done macroscopic changes microscopic measurement MDA level kidneys. histopathological examination shows that increased damage (degeneration, necrosis, fibrosis score), (glomerular damage, degeneration, necrosis tubulous level. application dose gentamicin-induced can prevent increase levels as indicated by decrease results highlight preventive role Gentamicin induced toxicity could be attributed to antioxidant properties phytochemicals.
