Fostering Organizational Empowerment: Impact of an Intervention Program on Stress Management and Physical Activity Motivation among Teachers in Portugal and Brazil

ABSTRACT
Teaching is one of the hardest occupations according to International Organization Teachers (IOT), affecting teachers’ emotional and physical well-being impacting their professional performance. Intervention programs addressing this issue usually result in a significant reduction stress an improvement entire quality life. Physical activity has been recognized as critical aspect non-pharmaceutical stress-reduction measures, favorably improving mental health. This quasi-experimental study used pre- post-intervention assessments assess impact exercise promotion program on levels motivation for regular among teachers first six years schooling Portugal Brazil. included 33 instructors from both countries’ educational institutions 8-week intervention that 40 sessions cardiorespiratory conditioning, muscle strengthening stretching, relaxation, meditation techniques. The Stress Perception Scale (EPS-10) Motivation Inventory Regular Activity Practice (IMPRAF-54) were participants. findings show strong link between teaching experience levels. After intervention, there statistically changes engage exercise. Specifically, 78.9% reported less stress, respondents felt more motivated control (84.4%), competitiveness (97%), aesthetic enhancement (57.6%). In summary, suggests excellent way reduce increase enthusiasm activity, with Portuguese outperforming Brazilian counterparts.
