ABSTRACT
Microgreens are a functional food that is very appreciated for their good taste and product features. They produced all year without fertilizers pesticides. In this paper, the effects of application commercial natural biostimulants on yield nutraceutical properties turnip greens radish microgreens were investigated. The experiment consisted four treatments based (Bio-1: TRAINER®; Bio-2: AQUAMIN®; Bio-3: leaf moringa extract; C: distilled water (control)) applied in two species (turnip radish). Fresh dry biomass, nitrate content, pigments, antioxidants, antioxidant activity measured. All promoted biomass (both fresh dry) accumulation but not greens. treatment with biostimulant did affect plant growth radish, while depressive effect Bio-1 upon was observed (−19% smaller than control). Bio-3 led to highest chlorophyll content (+75% respect Bio Chl (a, b, total) Biostimulants significantly lowered compared control (−27% nitrates) TPC (+19% over control) radish. also stimulated (DPPH), value Bio-1, turnip, Bio-2 Bio-3, Conclusively, showed positive and, particular, those improving various parameters.
