ABSTRACT
Hypochlorous acid (HOCl) derived from hydrogen peroxide and chloride anion by myeloperoxidase (MPO) plays a significant role in physiological pathological processes. Herein we report phenoxazine-based fluorescent probe Celestine Blue B (CB) that is applicable for HOCl detection living cells assaying the chlorinating activity of MPO. A remarkable selectivity sensitivity (limit 32 nM), along with rapid "turn-on" response CB to was demonstrated. Furthermore, able detect endogenous reactive halogenated species fluorescence spectroscopy, confocal microscopy, flow cytometry techniques. Hence, promising tool investigating health disease screening drugs capable regulating MPO activity.
