ABSTRACT
The main objective of this study was to detect, from among a set innate, acquired, and contextual factors, those variables that are ascribed players ultimately promoted the professional team Spanish league club during earlier selection development phases. data were presented in frequencies correlations by means classificatory cluster model. used for analyses included date birth, birthplace density, player position, laterality, academy entry stage, international participation, debutant status. These related talent promotion phases (i.e., stage debut). A dataset information on 1411 last 30 seasons Athletic Club de Bilbao (1993–2021) used. Regarding results, first, there an over-representation with respect their Q1 birth K5 density quintile phase; however, once joined academy, chances (debut) fell Q4 K3 quintiles. Second, significant correlation between players’ debut incorporation (p < 0.01; V = 0.46) internationalisation 0.5). Finally, laterality converged as features players.
