ABSTRACT
Previous studies reveal that combining non-thermal plasma with cheap metal catalysts achieved a significant synergy of enhancing performance NH3 decomposition, and this strongly depended on the properties catalyst used. In study, techniques vacuum-freeze drying calcination were employed to improve conventional preparation method catalyst, aiming enhance activity plasma-catalytic decomposition. Compared prepared by method, conversion significantly increased 47% when Co/fumed SiO2 was improved energy efficiency H2 production from 2.3 5.7 mol(kW·h)−1 as well. So far, highest formation 15.9 98.0% ammonia at optimal conditions. The enables cobalt species be highly dispersed fumed support, which creates more active sites. Besides, interaction Co acidity strengthened according results H2-TPR NH3-probe experiments, respectively. These demonstrate employing during is an effective approach manipulate display high towards decomposition produce H2.
