ABSTRACT
Electrocaloric properties of [110] and [111] oriented 0.73Pb(Mg1/3Nb2/3)O3-0.27PbTiO3 single crystals were studied in the temperature range 293–423 K. The Maxwell relations Landau–Ginsburg–Devonshire (LGD) phenomenological theory employed as indirect method to calculate electrocaloric properties, while a high-resolution calorimeter was used measure adiabatic change effect (ECE) directly. results indicate that directly measured changes ΔT > 2.5 K at room procured when applied electric field reversed from 1 MV/m −1 MV/m, which are larger than those deduced pursuant relation, even calculated using LGD 293–~380
