ABSTRACT
This paper deals with joining dissimilar materials using thermal drilling technology as well the combination of and adhesive bonding. The base for experimental work were deep-drawn low-carbon steel DC04, HSLA TL 1550-220 + Z, structural aluminum alloy EN AW-6082 T6 (AlSi1MgMn). geometry formed joints was tested metallographically load-bearing shear capacity under tensile test single-lapped resistance against corrosion-induced disbonding in a climate chamber. energy dissipated by up to fracture calculated from load–displacement curves. hybrid compared bonded same overlap area terms at joint failure. bonding rubber-based confirmed synergistic effect—the provides high joint, bushing increases exposure climatic chamber did not cause relevant reduction characteristics joints.
