ABSTRACT
This paper proposes an energy management strategy for a series hybrid electric vehicle based on driving pattern recognition, condition prediction, and model predictive control to improve the fuel consumption while maintain state of charge battery. To further computational efficiency, discretization linearization is conducted, MPC problem transferred into quadratic programming problem, which can be solved by interior point method effectively. The simulation carried out using Matlab/Simulink platform, results verify feasibility prediction performance proposed method. In addition, successfully improves economy compared with rule-based
