ABSTRACT
We introduce a device for the automatic detecting and reporting of crawling insects in urban environments. It is monitoring pests that complies with context smart homes cities, compatible emerging discipline Internet Things (IoT). believe it can find its place every room hotel, hospital, military camp, residence. This box-shaped attracts targeted insect pests, senses entering insect, takes automatically picture internal space box. The e-trap includes strong attractants (pheromone and/or food) to increase capture efficiency traps on sticky floor. carries necessary optoelectronic sensors monitor all entrances trap. As enters interrupts infrared light source. triggers detection event; taken, time-stamp set before delivering through Wi-Fi an authorized person/stakeholder. be integrated seamlessly environments operates unobtrusively human activities. report results various depending species, reach accuracy ranging from 96 99%.
