ABSTRACT
In this paper, a wideband antenna was designed for super-wideband (SWB) applications. The proposed fed with rectangular tapered microstrip feed line, which operated over SWB frequency range (1.42 GHz to 50 GHz). implemented at compact size electrical dimensions of 0.16 λ × 0.27 0.0047 mm3, where respect the lowest resonance frequency. prototype fabricated on F4B substrate, had permittivity 2.65 and 1 mm thickness. exhibited an impedance bandwidth 189% ratio 35.2:1. Additionally, design three band notch characteristics that were necessary eradicate interference from WLAN, WiMAX, X bands in range. One achieved by etching elliptical split ring resonator (ESRR) radiator other two notches placing resonators close signal line. first tuned incorporating varactor diode into ESRR. experimentally validated with, without experimental results showed good agreement simulated results.
