ABSTRACT
A novel dual-polarized transmissive/absorptive frequency-selective rasorber (FSR) with an ultrawide absorption spectrum covering both the X- and Ku-bands is proposed in this paper. The FSR constructed from a bottom lossless transmission layer top lossy layer, which resistor-loaded incurved square loop strip line structure utilized to obtain band. To quantitatively analyze its operation principle, accurate equivalent circuit model of was developed. 2D prototype designed, assembled, fabricated, measured. exhibits band that ranges 8.1 19.1 GHz (81%) under normal incidence, whereas passband insertion loss at 4.5 less than 0.45 dB. total thickness only 5.1 mm, keeps low profile characteristics. simulation agrees well measured results.
