ABSTRACT
During the last decades, a wide variety of methods to estimate permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) performance have been developed. These methodologies several advantages over conventional procedures, saving time and economic costs. This paper presents new methodology PMSM torque-speed-efficiency map based on blocked rotor test using single-phase voltage source. The identifies stator flux linkage depending current magnitude angle while providing detailed estimation iron losses. provides information efficiency along its operating region, including nominal conditions maximum power envelope. proposed does not require knowing geometry machine perform any load test, it also avoids expensive measurement devices complex experimental setup. Moreover, method allows be reproduced by applying different control strategies, which is useful when testing drives. application optimization algorithm, thus simplifying speeding up process determine performance. Experimental validation carried out comparing performances obtained through with those means against finite element analysis (FEA).
