ABSTRACT
We introduce a new synthetic marine model for 3D controlled-source electromagnetic method (CSEM) surveys. The proposed includes relevant features the geophysical community such as large conductivity contrast with vertical transverse isotropy and complex bathymetry profile. In this paper, we present experimental setup several CSEM simulations in presence of resistivity unit denoting hydrocarbon reservoir. employ parallel high-order vector finite element routine to perform simulations. By using tailored meshes, scenarios are simulated assess influence reservoir on responses. Our numerical assessment confirms that strongly influences amplitude phase measurements. investigate code performance solution fundamental frequencies high-performance computing architectures. Here, excellent ratios obtained. benchmark its modeling results developed under an open-source scheme promotes easy access data reproducible solutions.
