ABSTRACT
A three-phase isolated rectifier features bidirectional power conversion and galvanic isolation, is attractive as a high-efficiency energy system. However, when conventional modulation applied to this rectifier, the excessive DC-link current ripple will result in increasing switching losses or size of inductance, which not cost-effective. In order effectively reduce ripple, paper proposes “six segment” PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) strategy. It can significantly compared with existing “eight Meanwhile, quality grid improved. Finally, experimental tests were carried out. The results reveal that, traditional PWM, dc-side reduced from 2 0.8 A, total harmonic distortion 5.69% 2.41%, factor increased 0.87 0.99, verifying effectiveness proposed method.
