ABSTRACT
Demand response (DR) is a key technique in smart grid (SG) technologies for reducing energy costs and maintaining the stability of electrical grids. Since manufacturing one major consumers energy, implementing DR factory management systems (FEMSs) provides an effective way to manage processes. Although previous studies have investigated applications process manufacturing, they were not conducted discrete manufacturing. In this study, state-task network (STN) model implemented represent system. On basis, scheme with specific algorithm applied typical manufacturing—automobile manufacturing—and operational scenarios are established stamping automobile production line. The determines optimal operating points using mixed integer linear programming (MILP). results show that parts electricity demand can be shifted from peak off-peak periods, significant overall without degrading
