ABSTRACT
The textile manufacturing industry is energy- and water-intensive, has a great impact on the environment. Sustainability-oriented innovation can support transition of sector towards circular economy. This review investigates how chain benefit from sustainability-driven strategies to achieve main economy goals. was conducted using Scopus Web Science scientific databases, it addresses material, process, organizational innovations covers 2015–2024 time window. Five areas emerged retrieved papers, including digitalization, need for innovative product process design sustainable raw materials, use waste as new material outside value chain, recovery within environmental remediation, innovation. solutions analyzed improve sustainability enable achievement Finally, we discuss some concerns about introduction suggested innovations, apply principles recyclability durability while studying feasibility adopting novel materials.
