ABSTRACT
Sulfur oxide (SO2) and hydrogen sulfide (H2S) are considered as one of the major air pollutants in world today. In addition, high sulfur levels petroleum distillates can promote deactivation catalysts through poisoning fluidized catalytic cracking (FCC) during hydrocracking heavy to lighter ones. The presence sulfur-containing compounds process streams could cause corrosion piping fittings equipment, thereby damaging pipelines leading emissions compounds, which undesirable for mankind his environment. many cases, a large quantity SOx is released into atmosphere when that contain substantial amount sulphur-containing used fuel combust. this article, short overview different desulfurization methods employed remove from provided. particular, review concentrates on biodesulfurization technique. article intends provide its readers current status (BDS). It critically analyses trend development technology showcase strength weakness pave way future opportunities. Approaches suitable remediate sulfur-contaminated environment discussed well. Lastly, speculations directions or opportunities require exploration provided provoking thoughts researchers field.
