ABSTRACT
In this paper, we present the results of a systematic numerical study flow and mixing modes fluids in micromixers various configurations, particular, an analysis passive micromixers, most widely used practice, as well main methods to intensify mixing. The advantages microstructure reactors can significantly reduce reaction times increase productivity compared traditional bulk reactors. Four different geometries including straight T-shaped microchannel, were considered. effect geometrical patterns Reynolds number on regimes efficiency analyzed. varied from 1 300. Unlike other studies, considered mixers was for first time with cost pressure loss during pumping. As result, optimal micromixer terms hydraulic operation ranges determined. It shown that maximum normalized entire range Re numbers noted mixer, which vortex-based intensification occurs due swirling cylindrical chambers. This mixer allows 600 more efficiently than T-mixer, while all conditions being equal.
