ABSTRACT
Objective: To describe the secular trends of cause-specific mortality among adolescents aged 10 to 24 years from 2004 2019 and explore association between economic status, education level as well health investment. Methods: Mortality data were obtained national disease surveillance points system. The age-standardized rate (ASMR) was calculated by using population sixth census in 2010. GDP per capita, urbanization rate, illiteracy over 15 old, government expenditure number service providers 1000 people, beds people collected China’s Economic Social Big Data Research Platform. Age-period-cohort analysis used analyse net age, period, cohort effects adolescents, while panel regression Results: Overall, ASMR 28.84 100,000 top five causes road injuries, drowning, intentional self-harm sequelae, leukaemia, falls China 2019. All-cause declined with an annual percentage change 4.02% (95% Confidence interval: 3.74% 4.30%) yet persistent differences across different demographic (gender age) geographical (urban-rural, regional) subgroups. Notably, for HIV/AIDS males, lower respiratory infections urban iron deficiency anaemia cervical cancer 20 showed increase time. multivariate that decreased 5.18 (3.27, 7.08) every population, but insignificant capita total sample. Health investment positively associated at almost all subgroups except 14 years; helpful males rural increasing literacy beneficial females 19 years. Conclusion: Given subgroups, further investments including improving services, especially bed investment, reducing concern areas, western regions, are needed. Additionally, increased burden some diseases, such HIV/AIDS, must be concern.
