ABSTRACT
The sludge from the water supply plant was investigated to remove fluoride ions water. To improve adsorption ability, original sample treated with fuel oxidation, pyrolysis, hydrochloric acid, and sulphuric acid methods, treatment improved capacity of on in significantly, a maximum 140 mg/kg. experimental data well fitted pseudo-first-order model Langmuir isotherms model. SEM images XRD patterns adsorbent were recorded get better insight into process. effect three variables, (HWS) dose, pH, initial concentration studied using Box-Behnken statistical design. optimum conditions response surface methodology. removal efficiency can reach 81.153% under condition: HWS dose 14.10 g/L pH value at 6.12. co-existing anions also studied. results suggest that be reused as coagulant for poor quality
