ABSTRACT
Background: the world population is aging, and prevalence of chronic diseases increasing. Chronic affect quality life patients contribute toward increased healthcare costs if do not adhere to treatment. This study defines medication adherence levels with diseases. Methods: an observational cross-sectional was carried out. Patients aged 65 years older were included in this study. The report scale used. Results: overall, 98 included. mean age responders 78.65 years. Study population: 71.43% always adherent; 9.79% often 14.89% sometimes 3.87% rarely 1% never adherent. internal consistency MARS-5I good: Cronbach’s alfa value 0.77. Conclusions: effective self-report instrument measure patients. However, further studies are needed explore factors affecting avoid clinical consequences for high facilities. Healthcare communication could be improved ensure better transitional care.
