ABSTRACT
Phthalate esters (PAEs) are widely used as plasticizers in industrial and commercial products, classified endocrine-disrupting compounds. In this study, we investigated the contamination characteristics health risks of PAEs soil-plant system coastal areas South China. were detected soil plant samples at all 37 sampling sites. The total concentration 15 ranged from 0.445 to 4.437 mg/kg, mean was 1.582 ± 0.937 mg/kg. 2.176 30.276 8.712 5.840 Di(2-Ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP) di-n-butyl (DnBP) major compounds samples. selected contaminants exhibited completely different spatial distributions within study area. Notably, higher concentrations found Guangdong Province average noncarcinogenic Σ6 acceptable levels via dietary nondietary routes. However, posed by DEHP DBP some sites relatively high. Furthermore, carcinogenic very low for BBP, but diet. results suggest that China, through human risk assessment, will induce adverse effects on health, especially children. This provides an important basis management agriculture, safety
