Krill Oil Supplementation Does Not Change Waist Circumference and Sagittal Abdominal Diameter in Overweight Women: A Pilot Balanced, Double-Blind, and Placebo-Controlled Clinical Trial

ABSTRACT
An excess of body fat is one the biggest public health concerns in world, due to its relationship with emergence other problems. Evidence suggests that supplementation long-chain polyunsaturated fatty acids (omega-3) promotes increased lipolysis and reduction mass. Likewise, this clinical trial aimed evaluate effects krill oil on waist circumference sagittal abdominal diameter overweight women. This pilot, balanced, double-blind, placebo-controlled study was carried out 26 women between 20 59 years old, a mass index >25 kg/m2. The participants were divided into control (CG) (n = 15, 3 g/daily mineral oil) (GK) 16, groups, received for eight weeks. Food intake variables obtained using 24 h food recall.
