ABSTRACT
Hormesis, which describes the stimulatory effect of low doses toxic substances on growth, is a well-known phenomenon in plant and animal kingdoms. However, mechanisms that are involved this still poorly understood. We performed preliminary studies corn coleoptile sections, showed positive correlation between stimulation growth by Cd or Pb an increase auxin H2O2 content sections. Subsequently, we grew seedlings hydroponic culture tested wide range concentrations order to determine hormetic stimulation. In these gas exchange chlorophyll fluorescence, as well chlorophyll, flavonol, hydrogen peroxide, were measured. found during response photosynthetic apparatus differed significantly. While application mostly caused decrease various parameters, stimulated some them. Nevertheless, discovered common features shoot heavy metals flavonol maintenance peroxide at same level control plants.
