ABSTRACT
In recent years, railway systems have played a significant role in transportation due to the demand increase conveying both cargo and passengers. Due harsh environments severe loading conditions, caused by traffic growth, heavier axles vehicles speed, tracks are at risk of degradation failure. Condition monitoring has been widely used support health assessment civil engineering structures infrastructures. this context, it was adopted as powerful tool for an objective track behaviour enabling real-time data collection, inspection detection structural degradation. According relevant literature, number sensors can be monitor during train passing under environments. This paper presents review infrastructure, well their application sense performance different components extreme events. The insight into railways serving with features will not only improve damage but also enable predictive maintenance regime order assist decision-making process towards more cost-effective management industry.
